‘New Documents (all true things are equal)’ presents formally and poetically charged sequences of abstract natural constructs as part of a larger meditative practice. The title takes it’s cues from the 1967 MoMA exhibition of relatively unknown photographers that had a lasting influence on modern photography. Here Celestino continues to redirect the techniques and aesthetics of both colour theory and landscape photography ‘to more personal ends’. This show brings together images, made in various places the artist has revisited over several years. As no image exists in isolation, the sum of this abstract survey details the elusive relationships and primitive responses that all we all have with discovery and the natural world.
When:Opens Friday 1 December at 6PM. On exhibition until Sunday 28 January, Wed to Sun 10AM to 3PM.

NewActon. One word, one fine place to live, work and just be. We took the rulebook, looked up classic principles of excellence in architecture and urban design, ripped out the pages that prescribe same-same and characterless, and added a chapter entitled, “How to create a truly innovative cultural precinct that shifts the status quo, and be awarded multiple times for doing so.” And then we scribbled our name on the title page in crayon.
